Round 1 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Stu Stevens starts to put on the pressure, forcing Salas back into the cage. Stu Stevens takes advantage and clinches. Salas lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. "NP" takes Salass back standing. Enrique Salas begins to isolate an arm but "NP" executes a trip which puts him in half guard. Enrique Salas holds the head of Stevens close to avoid shots. Stevens slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Stevens is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Stu connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Salas. Enrique Salas connects with a hard punch making "NP" bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. While in the clinch Stevens grabs the elbow of Salas while turning away from him. Stevens pulls his opponents body towards his planted leg causing Salas to flip over with a nice Tai Otoshi throw. Stevens takes side control. Enrique almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. "NP" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Enrique sneaks a leg back under the body of Stu to achieve a defensive half guard. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Stevens lands a jab, but it is returned by a sick uppercut from Enrique Salas. Stu Stevens connects with a series of punches forcing Enrique into a clinch. "NP" works to Enrique Salass back while standing. "NP" throws a couple of outside shots until Enrique Salas is able to work his way back to the clinch. Stevens works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Stevens drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "No 7 airplane mode" sets a guillotine choke but Stevens slips out at the last moment. Stevens is now caught in guard.Round 3 comes to a close.
