Round 1 Consu Cortez keeps Simon Brooks at a distance with some well timed jabs. Consu Cortez connects with a series of punches forcing Simon Brooks into a clinch. Consu Cortez works Simon into the cage from the clinch. Consu Cortez presses his head under Brookss chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Consu grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that cuts Simon Brooks under the eye. Consu Cortez takes the back of Simon who works for a kimura. Consu Cortez pulls his arm out of the hold and push Simon away. Cortez connects with a series of punches forcing Simon Brooks into a clinch. Brooks is hit by successive knees on either side of his ribcage. "No 12 conditioner" grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts Simon Brooks on the floor. A solid kick bruises the leg of Simon Brooks. Consu Cortez grabs a foot and kicks at Simons thighs. He then backs off and Simon Brooks stands back up. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Cortez grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow to the head of Brooks. Brooks weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. Cortez connects with numerous jabs to the face of Simon. Cortez fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Simon. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Cortez is defended well by Simon Brooks. Cortez grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Cortez returns to the clinch. A strong elbow forces Simon to lose his balance and fall to the floor. As Simon Brooks attempts to keep Cortez in front of him, Cortez grabs Simon Brookss ankle and viciously lays into his thigh with multiple kicks. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Consu Cortez attempts to clinch, but Brooks connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Brookss legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Simon Brooks connects with a strong body shot combo. Brooks connects with a strong right hook. Simon is struck by some looping punches and kicks and goes for the clinch to shorten the distance. Consu Cortez welcomes the clinch landing a lead knee and a powerful elbow. Then pushes Simon back to striking distance. Brooks connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Consu throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Simon Brooks. "No 12 conditioner" continually moves away from Brooks, who stalks him patiently, occasionally landing a jab or cross. After dodging a jab-cross, "No 12 conditioner" lands a kick to the liver of Simon Brooks who steps back and begins to take a knee. "No 12 conditioner" rushes forward to capitalize but Simon Brooks stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Simon rushes forward with strikes and "No 12 conditioner" slips to his all fours. Simon unleashes a barrage of punches. "No 12 conditioner" is stuck against the cage and cannot roll to his guard. Simon finishes his flurry with two strong uppercuts. The ref jumps in and "No 12 conditioner" crumples face down in a bloody mess.
