Round 1 A wild hook from "Style Choice" is ducked by Eddie Carpenter who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Pete stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Eddie tries to move to half guard but Pete uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Eddie and he traps Petes extended leg to move to half guard. Eddie Carpenter tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Carpenter slips out of half guard and into side control. Pete Cosman gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Cosman slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. "Style Choice" hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Eddie Carpenter.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Cosman winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Eddie tries to stop a shot with a punch but Pete plows through Carpenters attempt and ends up in guard. Cosman dodges a few strikes from Carpenter and lands an elbow followed by a hammerfist. Carpenter attempts to transition to the butterfly guard but Cosman is too quick and takes half guard. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Carpenter slips a cross from Cosman and lands jab cross to the body. Pete narrowly dodges a cross from Eddie, but falls catching him in his guard. Pete Cosman lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Carpenter eats a stiff punch to the face, and is then switched, giving Cosman full mount. Pete Cosman executes a double hand slap to the ears of Carpenter. Pete Cosman punishes Eddie with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 3 comes to a close.
