Round 1 "the 49er" hits an uppercut to the head of Alfred followed by a hard hook. Rodrigo throws a crisp jab, but Coupe slips it and moves in for the clinch. Alfred Coupe works to Olivieras back while standing. Alfred Coupe throws a couple of outside shots until Rodrigo Oliviera is able to work his way back to the clinch. Alfred takes Olivieras back standing. Oliviera begins to isolate an arm but Alfred executes a trip which puts him in half guard. Coupe hits Oliviera with some punches to the side of the head. Alfred is able to slip into mount from the half guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Oliviera locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Alfred Coupe. "the 49er" works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Alfred works Rodrigo into the cage from the clinch. Alfred presses his head under Rodrigo Olivieras chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Rodrigo takes the back of Alfred who works for a kimura. Rodrigo pulls his arm out of the hold and push Alfred away. A welt begins to form under Coupes eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Rodrigo Oliviera. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Oliviera throws a combination of punches ducking and feinting return shots. Oliviera smiling with his hands down as he shuffles in and out. Alfred angrily starts missing with haymakers. Alfred is met with a hook cross combo that staggers him. Rodrigo explodes forward with a flurry punches that leaves Alfred crumpled on the mat.
