Round 1 Acuna fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Ian Arthur. Juan Augusto gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Ian Arthur takes Juan Augusto Acunas back standing, but Juan Augusto isolates an arm and locks a spinning kimura but Ian Arthur squirms out and both fighters end up standing. Ian Arthur connects with a hard jab as Juan Augusto attempts a wide outside hook. Arthur connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Juan Augusto hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Acuna lands a double jab. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Juan Augusto connects with a hard punch making Ian Arthur bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Acuna takes "2 smooves" back standing. "2 smoove" isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Acuna lands a sharp shovel punch that forces "2 smoove" to release. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Arthur hits an uppercut to the head of Juan Augusto followed by a hard hook. Arthur connects with a strong body shot combo. Both fighters begin to exchange Arthur catches Acuna with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Acuna gather himself. Acuna says he is ok and the fight continues. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Ian grabs a single leg and pushes Juan Augusto Acuna to the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for positional control. Ian switches to a double leg but Juan Augusto Acuna does a good job of keeping his base. Ian works to Juan Augusto Acunas back while standing. Ian throws a couple of outside shots until Juan Augusto Acuna is able to work his way back to the clinch. Ian Arthur takes the back of Juan Augusto who works for a kimura. Ian Arthur pulls his arm out of the hold and push Juan Augusto away. The fighters circle each other. Juan Augusto throws a cross that easily dodged by Arthur. Arthur lands a double jab. A looping right hook from Ian sends Acuna to the mat. Arthur stands over Juan Augusto Acuna, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Juan Augusto Acuna cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 "2 smoove" takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Juan Augusto Acuna to hit him harder. Acuna hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. A welt begins to form under Juan Augustos eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Ian Arthur. Juan Augusto Acuna connects with a hard jab as "2 smoove" attempts a wide outside hook. Ian takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Juan Augusto to hit him harder. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 "2 smoove" tries to hyperextend the knee of Acuna with a kick to the kneecap. Acuna hops back to avoid it. "2 smoove" hits an uppercut to the head of Juan Augusto followed by a hard hook. Ian fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. Juan Augusto quickly takes his back. Juan Augusto sinks a deep rear naked choke, but Arthur just barely rolls to his back in time. Juan Augusto now has full mount. Juan Augusto Acuna executes a double hand slap to the ears of Ian. Ian fights his leg through and gets back to half guard. Round 5 comes to a close.
