Round 1 Dave Nash attempts a striking combination, but Ricardo forces the clinch. Ricardo Martinez lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Ricardo takes the back of Dave who works for a kimura. Ricardo pulls his arm out of the hold and push Dave away. Martinez dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Dave. Dave weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Dave Nash attempts to clinch, but Ricardo Martinez connects with an uppercut to the jaw. A lazy leg kick from Dave is caught by Ricardo who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Dave. Martinez kicks at the legs of Dave and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Dave to stand. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Dave receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Martinez. Ricardo Martinez escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Ricardo connects with a jab cross combination. Nash takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Ricardo to hit him harder. Dave Nash parries Ricardos jab and connect with a cross. Ricardo Martinez is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Dave Nash tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Ricardo Martinez that puts him on the floor. Ricardo Martinez stands over Nash, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Nash is able to grab an arm and pull Ricardo Martinez into his guard. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Dave Nash lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Dave takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Ricardo Martinez to hit him harder. Dave tries to hyperextend the knee of Martinez with a kick to the kneecap. Martinez hops back to avoid it. Dave connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Nash connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Ricardo throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Dave Nash is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Round 3 is over.
