Round 1
Douglas connects with a hard jab as Chael Hudson attempts a wide outside hook. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. "The Hitman" throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Douglas Wallace is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Chael Hudson circles Douglas, landing jabs at will. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
Douglas Wallace lands a double jab. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Douglas Wallace wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Hudson. "The Hitman" is wisely defending a kimura. Douglas attempts to take it but "The Hitman" is having none of it, though Douglas has used the chance the slide into mount. Chael arches his body up to buck off Wallace from mount. A scramble takes place leading to both fighters back to their feet. Chael circles Douglas, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Douglas takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Douglas connects with a hard jab as Chael Hudson attempts a wide outside hook. "The Hitman" stuffs a shot from Wallace and hits him with an outside body shot. Wallace gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. "The Hitman" opens up the guard and rises back to his feet. "The Hitman" kicks at the legs of Douglas Wallace and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Douglas Wallace to stand. Wallace narrowly dodges a cross from Chael Hudson, but falls catching him in his guard. Wallace tries to slide out of guard, but a scramble ensues. Chael Hudson ends up mounted by Wallace. Round 3 comes to a close.
