Round 1 "Favela" tries to hyperextend the knee of Bai with a kick to the kneecap. Bai hops back to avoid it. A jab-hook-uppercut combo has Bai stepping back and shaking the cobwebs out. Varela feints and follows up with a hard cross. Yu stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Varela connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Varela connects with a strong right hook. Varela unleashes a flurry of punches on Yu Bai. Both fighters begin to exchange Varela catches Bai with an eye poke. Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Yu Bai receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Mauro. Mauro Varela takes the back of Yu Bai who works for a kimura. Mauro Varela pulls his arm out of the hold and push Yu Bai away. Yu continually moves away from Varela, who stalks him patiently, occasionally landing a jab or cross. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Bai stuffs a shot from Varela and strikes two solid knees to his skull. Varela is stunned and Bai takes mount with in a quick scramble. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Mauro Varela connects with numerous jabs to the face of Yu Bai. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Yu Bai drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Varela sets a guillotine choke but Yu Bai slips out at the last moment. Yu Bai is now caught in guard. "Favela" attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Bai connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Mauro. "Favela" sprawls a takedown attempt from Yu. Yu eats several punches on the way back to his feet. Round 3 is finished.
