Round 1 Rickel catches a leg kick from Fred, and puts him on the mat. Fred slides his body to the side and pushes out of guard. Paul Rickel grabs a guillotine hold and forces Fred back down gaining side control. "Da Paraguayan Prince" gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Paul Rickel lands a series of heavy punches forcing Fred Wilson to roll to his back, giving Paul Rickel mount. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Paul slides in and grabs a leg lock taking Fred Wilson to the ground. Paul works for a reverse heel hook but cannot finish. A scramble insues and Fred Wilson takes Paul Rickels guard. "Da Paraguayan Prince" slides his body to the side and pushes out of guard. Paul Rickel grabs a guillotine hold and forces "Da Paraguayan Prince" back down gaining side control. Paul delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing Wilson to turn over. Paul takes the back. Paul tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Rickel drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Paul Rickel snatches a leg and wrenches back for an ankle lock. Wilson defends well so the lock changes to a heel hook. Paul Rickel rotates into a very tight knee bar but Wilson wiggles out to his feet. A sloppy scooping ankle block is pulled of by Paul Rickel. Fred Wilson is able to pull him into his guard. Paul Rickel grabs a leg and falls back to attack the ankle. Paul Rickel switches to a heel hook but loses his grip letting "Da Paraguayan Prince" scrambles to his feet. The bell signals the end of round 3.
