Round 1 The fighters circle each other. Cook parries Torress jab and connect with a cross. Cook executes a single leg giving him the back of Poncho Torres. Poncho Torres tries to explode out the backdoor but Ian sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Poncho Torres falls flat to protect himself. Torres slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Torres tries to hyperextend the knee of Ian Cook with a kick to the kneecap. Ian Cook hops back to avoid it. "the nature boy" shoots but Ian stuffs it, eventually working in a whizzer and landing some sharp knees that allows him to move to side mount. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Ian hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Torres. Ian Cook takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Ian Cook connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of "the nature boy". Torres counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. Torres throws a push kick. Cook shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Torress nose.
Poncho connects with a strong right hook. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Ian connects with a right that puts Torres off balance tumbling to the mat, as Ian towers over him. Ian stands over Poncho, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Poncho is able to grab an arm and pull Ian into his guard. Ian drops a few strong punches, opening up "the nature boys" guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. "the nature boy" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Ian tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Ian peppers shot to the head of Torres looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Torres is hand playing well. Round 3 comes to a close.
