Round 1 Yancy is staggered by a jab to the chin. Lee Phillips connects with a hard punch making Yancy Velasco bring him in to a tight clinch. Yancy Velasco works Phillips into the cage from the clinch. Yancy Velasco presses his head under Phillipss chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Lee Phillips places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. "wooden face" fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Velasco up for a flurry of hooks. Yancy Velasco is staggered by a jab to the chin. Yancy ducks and weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty uppercut. Lee Phillips connects with a hard right hand putting Velasco on the mat. Lee Phillips goes down with him into side control. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Yancy Velasco connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Yancy stuffs a shot from Lee and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Lee is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Yancy defends a triangle attempt, throwing Lees straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. "wooden face" is able to hold him to half guard. Velasco attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Lee gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Yancy slips out of half guard and into side control. Yancy Velasco delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing Lee to turn over. Yancy Velasco takes the back. Lee Phillips is able to make it back to the standing position. Yancy catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping "wooden face". The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 The fighters circle each other. Yancy Velasco throws a few jabs at Lee Phillips that miss the mark. Yancy Velasco connects with a hard punch making Lee Phillips bring him in to a tight clinch. "wooden face" recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. A couple of powerful body shots forces Phillips back to the cage. Yancy swims to double underhooks. Phillips cannot stop Yancy from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Velasco takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in "wooden faces" guard. It doesn\'t pay off as Lee makes his way to standing. A trip to the ground allows Phillips to move into the guard of Yancy. Velasco powers out sweeping Lee Phillips with pure strength. Velasco is now in side control. Lee Phillips takes a few knees to the body while under Yancy Velascos side control. Lee Phillips takes a few knees to the body while under Yancy Velascos side control. Round 3 is over.
