Round 1 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. A trip to the ground allows Denvon to move into the guard of Aondowase. Savage is cut under his eye by a hard overhand from Denvon while utilizing the guard. Aondowase gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Nzama is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Aondowase Savage gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Savage is able to make it back to the standing position. Nzama circles Aondowase, landing jabs and crosses at will. Denvon Nzama dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Denvon Nzama throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Savage is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. The fighters circle each other. Aondowase Savage takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks Nzama to hit him harder. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Nzama dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Savage executes a single leg giving him the back of Nzama. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Savage starts to put on the pressure, forcing Denvon back into the cage. Savage takes advantage and clinches. Savage connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Nzama is dazed on the mat. Aondowase hovers over Nzama pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Aondowase waves for Nzama to stand up. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Aondowase Savage starts to put on the pressure, forcing Denvon Nzama back into the cage. Aondowase Savage takes advantage and clinches. Nzama works Aondowase Savage into the cage from the clinch. Nzama presses his head under Aondowase Savages chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Savage places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Two short elbows from the clinch put Denvon Nzama off balance. Aondowase holds him up, landing two more quick elbows. The round comes to an end.
