Round 1
Marcus Hermansen tries to hyperextend the knee of Cardel with a kick to the kneecap. Cardel hops back to avoid it. Marcus hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Cardel Njomane. Marcus Hermansen parries Cardels jab and connect with a cross. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Hermansen connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Cardel. Cardel begins a combination but "The Hound" ducks down, picking Cardel Njomanes leg. "The Hound" lifts Cardel Njomanes leg as high as he can and throws a sweeping leg kick. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
"The Hound" grabs a single leg and pushes Cardel to the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for positional control. "The Hound" switches to a double leg lifting Cardel in the air and slams him down violently on his head. Cardel immediately puts "The Hound" in his guard. Cardel is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but Marcus Hermansen transitions to half guard. Njomane attempts to get to full guard but in the process gives up mount. Hermansen maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Hermansen telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Cardel gives up his back to stop the attempt. Cardel Njomane tries to stand up but Marcus Hermansen plants him back down with several strikes. Giving up his back, Cardel Njomane panics and gives up mount instead. The bell signals the end of round 2.

Round 3
"The Hound" grabs a single leg and pushes Cardel Njomane to the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for positional control. "The Hound" pie faces Cardel Njomane to the ground and into side control. Hermansen slides his knee across the body of Cardel and takes full mount. Cardel Njomane attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Njomane gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Hermansen works his arm around the neck of Cardel attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Cardel hand fights well. Marcus works his arm around the neck of Cardel Njomane attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Cardel Njomane hand fights well. Cardel Njomane spins through into the guard of Marcus. The round comes to an end.
