Round 1
The fighters circle each other. Howard takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Chris connects with a series of punches forcing Howard into a clinch. Vazquez escapes the clinch and creates some distance. A sloppy scooping ankle block is pulled of by "Bad Banjo". Howard is able to pull him into his guard. Chris Vazquez takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Gilbert Howards guard. It doesn't pay off as Gilbert Howard makes his way to standing. "Bad Banjo" narrowly dodges a cross from Gilbert Howard, but falls catching him in his guard. Chris sets in an omaplata, forcing Gilbert Howard to roll through, giving Chris side control. Chris Vazquez lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Vazquez throws his knee into the ribs of Gilbert. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
Chris Vazquez keeps Gilbert Howard at a distance with some well timed jabs. "Bad Banjo" snaps back the head of Gilbert Howard with a stiff jab. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Inbred Rodent" attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Chris pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Vazquez catches a leg kick from "Inbred Rodent", and puts him on the mat. "Bad Banjo" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Gilberts guard. It doesn't pay off as Howard makes his way to standing. "Bad Banjo" narrowly dodges a cross from Gilbert, but falls catching him in his guard. Chris sets in an omaplata, forcing Howard to roll through, giving Chris side control. Chris Vazquez throws his knee into the ribs of Gilbert Howard. Gilbert gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 3
Vazquez wraps around Gilberts waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control "Bad Banjo" slides his knee across the body of Gilbert Howard and takes full mount. Chris maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Howard gives his back up trying to escape the mount. "Bad Banjo" tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Vazquez locks in a body triangle as he takes shots at Howard. The round comes to an end.
