Round 1 "The Executioner" narrowly dodges a cross from "Rawbone", but falls catching him in his guard. A kimura attempt from Evgenii Ilyin is countered by a punch from Paul, who then transitions to half guard. "Rawbone" is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Evgenii attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Evgenii gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Jones peppers "The Executioner" with several shots to the face. Evgenii Ilyin carefully protects himself from Joness strikes.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 "Rawbone" throws a cross that easily dodged by Ilyin. Ilyin connects with a series of punches forcing "Rawbone" into a clinch. Ilyin drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Ilyin takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Paul Joness guard. It doesn't pay off as "Rawbone" makes his way to standing. Evgenii narrowly dodges a cross from "Rawbone", but falls catching him in his guard. Evgenii Ilyin shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. A strong chopping strike hits "Rawbone" across the face. "Rawbone" lands a series of return strikes. "The Executioner" attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but "Rawbone" is able to survive any major damage. "The Executioner" cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Evgenii Ilyin keeps "Rawbone" at a distance with some well timed jabs. "Rawbone" takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Paul snaps back the head of Evgenii with a stiff jab. "Rawbone" circles Ilyin, mixing jabs with body shots. Paul Jones circles Evgenii Ilyin, mixing jabs with body shots. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Round 3 is finished.
