Round 1 Lavoie snaps back the head of Al with a stiff jab. "Ryu" narrowly dodges a cross from Albright, but falls catching him in his guard. Lavoie connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Derrick sinks a kimura, but cannot finish. He settles for a switch into mount. Al Albright attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Al shifts his head and hips to keep "Ryu" off balance and unable to land strikes.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Al Albright fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Lavoie. Al gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. While tied up, "Aussie" is met with a hard uppercut. Al Albright snaps back the head of "Ryu" with a stiff jab. Lavoie snaps back the head of Al Albright with a stiff jab. "Aussie" parries Derricks jab and connect with a cross. Derrick attempts a takedown but slips, and Al backs away. Al is standing over Derrick. "Aussie" drops a huge strike to "Ryus" chin, landing into his guard. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Al takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Lavoie circles Al Albright, mixing jabs and leg kicks. "Ryu" ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Al Albright to the mat, and his back. "Ryu" tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. "Aussie" starts to wiggle out of back control, Derrick Lavoie lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Al Albright is staggered by a jab to the chin. Al arm drags "Ryu" into a double leg takedown, getting half guard.Round 3 comes to a close.
