Round 1
Mark is staggered by a jab to the chin. "The Belt Collector" sends Whelan to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Whelan begins to posture on his side. Bo lands a couple of outside hooks and Whelan returns to the guard. Mark gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Carter opens a cut over the eye of Mark. The doctor takes a look at it, and says he's okay to continue. Carter slips out of half guard and into side control. Mark gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Mark starts to wiggle out of back control, "The Belt Collector" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. A welt begins to form under Marks eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Carter. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
"The Real Deal" lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Carter buckles "The Real Deal" with a kick. Carter rushes forward to grab a guillotine, then falls to guard. "The Real Deal" is in trouble but is able to muscles his way out of the choke. Mark Whelan dodges a few strikes from "The Belt Collector" and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. A kimura attempt is defended well by Mark and he is able to sneak his leg through Carters loose guard, to half guard. Mark drops an elbow onto the forehead of Bo Carter. Mark Whelan slips out of half guard and into side control. Bo gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. "The Belt Collector" slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Carter is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Whelan. The bell signals the end of round 2.

Round 3
Mark attempts a striking combination, but "The Belt Collector" forces the clinch. Whelan throws a short elbow at "The Belt Collector". Mark Whelan grabs the plum and lands several knees to the legs Bo. Carter presses forward, grabbing the plum and lands a strong hook, buckling Mark to the mat. Carter stands back and waves Mark up. "The Belt Collector" circles Mark Whelan, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Bo lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Whelan. Bo then switch kicks Whelan on the opposing rib. A looping right hook from "The Belt Collector" sends Whelan to the mat. Bo lays into Marks thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Mark Whelan does so. Round 3 is finished.
