Round 1
Lukyan Melnikov snaps back the head of "The Animal" with a stiff jab. George parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. Stevens lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. A left high kick from Melnikov keeps "The Animal" at bay. George Stevens is rocked by a standing elbow strike. George is staggered by a jab to the chin. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Lukyan unleashes a flurry of punches on Stevens. "The Animal" is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Lukyan Melnikov. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Melnikov takes "The Animals" back standing. George Stevens isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Melnikov lands a sharp shovel punch that forces George Stevens to release. A looping right hook from "Andrei Arlovski" sends Stevens to the mat. Lukyan Melnikov drops a huge strike to George Stevenss chin, landing into his guard. Two heavy strikes from Lukyan dazes "The Animal". Lukyan crawls over to side mount. Stevens takes a few knees to the body while under Lukyans side control. George takes a few knees to the body while under Lukyan Melnikovs side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 3
George lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Lukyan dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with "The Animal" standing over him. George lays into "Andrei Arlovskis" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. "Andrei Arlovski" does so. George Stevens connects with a right that puts Lukyan off balance tumbling to the mat, as George Stevens towers over him. George Stevens chucks "Andrei Arlovskis" legs to a side to attempt a soccer kick but misses and he elects to sprawl into side control. Stevens attempts an armbar, but Melnikov stops the attempt. Stevens uses the oppurtunity to take mount.Round 3 comes to a close.
