Round 1 Stevenson catches a leg kick from Daisuke Tadeshi, and puts him on the mat. Stevenson pushes down Daisuke Tadeshis leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Maurice Stevenson slams his knee into Daisuke Tadeshis ribs. Tadeshi hits an upward elbow on Maurice Stevenson, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Maurice Stevenson takes side control. Tadeshi takes a few knees to the body while under Maurices side control. Daisuke tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard. Daisuke tries to scramble out of half guard, but Maurice takes his back during it. Daisuke carefully protects himself from Stevensons strikes. Daisuke Tadeshi starts to wiggle out of back control, Stevenson lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Daisuke Tadeshi throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Stevenson puts Daisuke Tadeshi on the mat giving his back up. Daisuke tries to stand up but Stevenson plants him back down with several strikes. Tadeshi starts to wiggle out of back control, Maurice Stevenson lets him escape putting them both on their feet. A shot from Maurice Stevenson is countered by a guillotine from Daisuke. Maurice Stevenson follows through with a slam, landing in side mount, nullifying the choke. Daisuke is wisely defending a kimura. Stevenson attempts to take it but Daisuke is having none of it, though Stevenson has used the chance the slide into mount. Maurice Stevenson maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Stevenson punishes Tadeshi with a series of strikes from the mount. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Daisuke snaps back the head of Stevenson with a stiff jab. Stevenson lands a hook to the body then a straight cross to the sternum. Daisuke Tadeshi throws a cross that easily dodged by Maurice Stevenson. Daisuke eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Maurice Stevenson. The fighters circle each other. Stevenson shoots in and executes a textbook single leg takedown, giving him side control. Round 3 is finished.
