Round 1 Jose attempts a lazy shot, which Stevenson sprawls, eventually taking Jose back. Maurice Stevenson slides off to the side of "Bringing the Thunder" and lands several heavy knees into his ribs. Before he can lose the position, Maurice Stevenson switches back to full back control. "Bringing the Thunder" starts to wiggle out of back control, Stevenson lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Trentini loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Maurice Stevenson for the mistake. Maurice Stevenson has side control. Maurice Stevenson slides his knee across the body of Jose and takes full mount. Maurice Stevenson secures his position. Maurice punishes "Bringing the Thunder" with a series of strikes from the mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Maurice Stevenson connects with jab cross combination. Jose Trentini gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. "Bringing the Thunder" carefully protects himself from Maurice Stevensons strikes. Jose is able to make it back to the standing position. Trentini circles Maurice, landing jabs and crosses at will. Jose lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Stevenson. Jose then switch kicks Stevenson on the opposing rib. Trentini circles Maurice Stevenson, landing jabs at will. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 A wild hook from Jose Trentini is ducked by Maurice who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Maurice Stevenson stuffs a shot from "Bringing the Thunder" and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Maurice takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Trentinis guard. It doesn't pay off as "Bringing the Thunder" makes his way to standing. Stevenson snaps back the head of Jose with a stiff jab. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Maurice grabs the plum and tosses Jose to the ground. Maurice stands over Jose, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Jose cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. The round comes to an end.
