Round 1 As Blondal presses forward Bauer throws a wild spinning backfist that hits Blondal flush. After dodging a jab, Bauer lands a kick to the ribs of Grimur Blondal who winces in pain. A jab from Blondal is blocked and a cross is returned by Bauer. Grimur attempts to clinch, but Gerhardt Bauer connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Blondal connects with a jab cross combination. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 The fighters circle each other. Bauer connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Gerhardt Bauer is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Grimur tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Gerhardt Bauer that puts him on the floor. Gerhardt Bauer kicks at the legs of Grimur Blondal and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Grimur Blondal to stand. Blondal attempts a takedown but slips, and Bauer backs away. Bauer is standing over Blondal. Gerhardt Bauer stands over Grimur, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Grimur cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Bauer grabs a foot and kicks at Grimur Blondals thighs. He then backs off and Grimur stands back up. Gerhardt Bauer pushes away from Blondal and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Blondal attempts a takedown which Bauer easily avoids. Rising to his feet Blondal eats a left shin to the dome. Blondal is put down hard. The ref stops the fight.
