Thomas locks in a body triangle as he takes shots at Quico. Quico starts to wiggle out of back control, Joshua lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The fighters circle each other. Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Quico Chavez places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Quico Chavez dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Thomas standing over him. Joshua attempts to drop a fist on Quico Chavez, but misses and lands in his guard. Quico Chavez dodges some ground strikes from Thomas, and sends a few back of his own. Quico Chavez lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Thomas tries to pass guard but Quico stops him with a well timed punch. Joshua Thomas attempts to pass Chavezs guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Quico Chavez throws a cross that easily dodged by Joshua Thomas. Quico Chavez is staggered by a jab to the chin. Thomas throws a cross that easily dodged by Quico Chavez. Quico Chavez unleashes a flurry of punches ending with Thomas out cold from a right hook.
