Round 1
Chris throws a few jabs at Gregory Rhodes that miss the mark. Chris loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Gregory Rhodes for the mistake. Gregory Rhodes has side control. Gregory Rhodes attempts an armbar, but Chris stops the attempt. Gregory Rhodes uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Chris arches his body up to buck off Gregory from mount. A scramble takes place leading to both fighters back to their feet. Rhodes connects with jab cross combination. Rhodes winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Chris Mendez stuffs a shot from Rhodes and lands several shots to the body. Rhodes attempts to pull guard but Chris Mendez pushes his way to full mount. Round 1 is over.

Round 2
Gregory begins to clinch with Mendez, but Mendez presses out of it burning up quite a bit of energy. A welt begins to form under Chris Mendezs eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Gregory. Gregory hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Gregory ducks under a loopy hoop, taking "Mexicali" to the mat, and his back. Chris carefully protects himself from Rhodess strikes. Mendez tries to stand up but Gregory Rhodes plants him back down with several strikes. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
A wild hook from "Mexicali" is ducked by Gregory Rhodes who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. "Mexicali" throws a cross that easily dodged by Gregory. Gregory throws a cross that easily dodged by "Mexicali". Chris attempts a lazy shot, which Gregory Rhodes sprawls, eventually taking Chris back. "Mexicali" tries to stand up but Gregory plants him back down with several strikes. Chris tries to explode out the backdoor but Gregory sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Chris falls flat to protect himself. Round 3 comes to a close.
