Round 1 Colon reaches down and trips Rees Bevan with a beautiful ankle pick. Colon dives into back control. Matthew Colon peppers "The Beast" with several shots to the face. Rees starts to wiggle out of back control, Matthew lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Rees Bevan is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. Matthew slides his knee across the body of Rees Bevan and takes full mount. Matthew secures his position. Rees Bevan bucks Colon off and sweeps him over getting into his half guard. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Matthew executes a single leg giving him the back of Rees. Matthew Colon lands a double punch to the head of Rees. Rees is able to make it back to the standing position. "The Beast" is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. Colon slides his knee across the body of "The Beast" and takes full mount. Matthew Colon punishes Bevan with a series of strikes from the mount. Matthew lands a double punch to the head of Rees Bevan. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 "The Beast" narrowly dodges a cross from Matthew, but falls catching him in his guard. Matthew pushes down Bevans leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Colon tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Matthew slips out of half guard and into side control. Rees takes a few knees to the body while under Matthew Colons side control. "The Beast" sneaks a leg back under the body of Matthew Colon to achieve a defensive half guard. Rees Bevan tries to scramble out of half guard, but Matthew takes his back during it. Rees carefully protects himself from Matthew Colons strikes. Matthew attempts to lock in a rear naked choke, but Bevan rolls into to mount to cleverly avoid it.Round 3 comes to a close.
