Round 1 Douglas Wallace sends Hebert to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. A couple of hard outside strikes opens up Heberts guard and Wallace is able to move to half guard. Wallace is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Douglas Wallace splits "The Boat Builders" nose open with a well timed punch. "The Boat Builder" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Douglas Wallace slides to the side and spanks the butt of Serge Hebert in a sign of disrespect. The crowd laughs uncontrollably. Giving up his back, Serge Hebert panics and gives up mount instead. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Serge Hebert wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Douglas Wallace. Serge slides his knee across the body of Wallace and takes full mount. Douglas attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Douglas gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Serge tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Wallace tripods up, causing Hebert to fall forward. A scramble ensues and Wallace is able to take half guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 "The Boat Builder" throws a hard jab but Douglas Wallace throws a cross right over the top that knocks "The Boat Builder" to the ground. Wallace stands over "The Boat Builder", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "The Boat Builder" is able to grab an arm and pull Wallace into his guard. Wallace dodges a few strikes from Hebert and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. Wallace takes advantage of a mental laps from Serge Hebert and moves into full mount. Douglas Wallace splits Serge Heberts nose open with a well timed punch. Serge Hebert gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Giving up his back, Serge Hebert panics and gives up mount instead. "The Boat Builder" bucks off Wallace and both fighters get to their feet. The round comes to an end.
