Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Malcolm Wood directs the head of Vince leading to a stiff knee to the face. Malcolm grabs the plum and pulls Vince Nelsons face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Malcolm lets go of the hold and lands a hook. Vince Nelson keeps Wood at a distance with some well timed jabs. Wood lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Nelson. Wood then switch kicks Nelson on the opposing rib. Malcolm strikes with a straight front kick. Malcolm Wood connects with a right that puts Vince Nelson off balance tumbling to the mat, as Malcolm Wood towers over him. Wood attempts to drop a fist on Nelson, but misses and lands in his guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Vince circles Malcolm Wood, mixing jabs and leg kicks. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Malcolm Wood places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Vince Nelson works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Vince escapes the clinch and creates some distance. A jab from Wood is blocked and a cross is returned by Vince. Malcolm throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Vince Nelson. Nelson is struck by a ball kick from Malcolm that causes him to stumble backwards. Malcolm eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Vince. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Malcolm Wood eats a stiff kick to the face. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Wood drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Vince sets a guillotine choke but Wood slips out at the last moment. Wood is now caught in guard. Wood backs out of the guard, and chooses to stand with his opponent, allowing him to his feet. Nelson lands a solid kick to the inside thigh of Malcolm. Nelson lands a hook to the body then a straight cross to the sternum. Nelson connects with a strong right hook. Round 3 is over.
