Was just creeping on your homepage checking up on Dino"Raptor". Noticed Bryce's name up there you failed to mention i beat his ass in 2 fights back to back after your win! Lol,jk,jk. Good to see your camps doing alright. Keep up the good work!(GKC)
Dory "The Polar Bear" Murphy win his 3rd championship after defeating Lee Scott in a title rematch in the A-1 lightweight division. Scott won their first fight after a TKO Stoppage when Dory buckled from a leg kick early in round 1. In the rematch, Scott seemed like he was on his way to a unanimous decision going into the 5th. Dory was able to land a strong shot to the body, and then land a beautiful combination to knock out the former champ.
PG seems to beat 8pt more often than not, but not dominant. i've had some CD guys lose to GnPers too lately... I think he's been balancing out the style matchups a little bit so camps will stop ducking people.
FF is awful against SiO, and nothing too conclusive against GnP but I think it has a slight edge over 8pt. SftF has been extremely weak against CS & SiO from my experiences. CD is still a bit of an unknown to me but I think it has the edge over 8pt. Some have said CD works PL, but others argue it's 50-50, I think PG has the edge over CD, but not as much as FS. Yeah look me up, if the pop/rank is similar i'll fight whenever... i'm The Mafia, The Goodfellas, and 859 Academy.
Dory "The Polar Bear" Murphy wins his second title in the LDNet LW division with a sensational 4th round knockout over Rip Leclerc. It was a back and forth fight, but Dory's kicks eventually took their toll, and, after a body kick, opened Rip up for a powerful uppercut.
Dory "The Polar Bear" Murphy is crowned the new Shaato Lightweight Champion after a first round decapitation, I mean, roundhouse head kick over the Russian Slavik Volkov.
Future prospect Eddie Stewart records win No. 1000 for Sinister Submissions with a thundering roundhouse head kick over Makoto Sawamatsu in the first round.
Sammy Wright wins the Art of Combat Light Heavyweight Championship after a thrilling 5-round war with Ramon Ortiz. Sammy dominated the first 3 rounds, but the momentum shifted in the 4th when Ortiz was finally able to get the fight to the ground and opened a deep gash under Sammy's eye. Sammy was able to hold on, and win a hard fought split decision, marking Sinister Submissions' first title-holder since "Crucifix" McConomy in July 2015.
Luis "Leonidas" Reed (55-45) has retired from MMA. The 32 year old Tennessee native called it quits after 13 and a half years of competition. A former UFL LW Champion, he fought for the title on 5 occasions. The Greco-Roman wrestler was often at a size disadvantage (he weighed 148lbs), but it didn't stop him from being highly successful in SaoHeroes and later the UFL. He was currently the longest running member of SS, and we wish him a bright future.
Well, for the 4th time in less than 12 months, Sinister Submissions says goodbye once more to the 3rd man to enter the gym, Lucho "Serpentine" Salazar. Lucho, 36, took over as the BJJ coach after Charlie Jones retired, and focused more on the gym and fighters than having a successful MMA career. With a 46-56 record, he jumped around the lower orgs for quite some time, never putting more than 3 wins together. However, Lucho was a very important aspect of SS,and the last founding fighter to reti
Curley "Crucifix" McConomy wins the vacant CAGES Welterweight Championship after a hard fought inverted Triangle Choke submission victory over Hugh Bailey. This is Curley's 2nd championship belt, and the first SS fighter to hold a belt in separate organizations.
Reigning ProXC Heavyweight Champion and Sinister Submissions camp leader Dean "The Giant" Thomas (67-46)has retired from MMA. The SS muay Thai was a veteran of GLORY and A-1. He had much success in LDNET, engaging in two epic battles (TKO losses nonetheless) over the HW strap with Clay Butler. Entering ProXC, he captured the HW title and defended it 4x until his retirement. Dean will be sorely missed, and passes on the camp leadership to "Crucifix" Curley McConomy.
I've had the worst luck with early retirements. They say it's a completely random thing, and length of career is one of the hidden stats. I've seen a few camps with 5-6 guy go the full 15 years, and I haven't had anybody last over 8 years... and my 3 best guys all retired in their fifth year. I'm just now getting out of the rebuilding stage that those retirements put me in, but it's a tough thing to do.
Kyle "Kryptonite" Rogers has retired at the crazy young age of 27. An 8 year pro, he only lost 3 of his first 20, two to the same person, the latter for the MFO Welterweight Title. Kyle was the first Welterweight to enter EFC from Sinister Submissions. Currently riding a 4 fight win streak, he set his sights on the CAGES 170 lb title before his resignation. At nearly the same age as Devon S., there is perhaps some connection between the two...
Devon "The Silencer" Stevenson abruptly retired after 6 years of pro MMA. He was a well rounded fighter with good Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu skill. He held the Sao Heroes 185 lb title and defended once, and was a top ten fighter since losing. The sudden retirement at an extremely early age of 28 leads us to believe there were some outside issues effecting Devon's MMA career. We wish him the best in the future.
Dean "The Giant" Thomas becomes the ProXC Heavyweight Champion after a Unanimous Decision win over Mitsuru Otsuka. Dean controlled most of the fight, but Otsuka refused to quit. This marks Dean's first title, after coming up short twice in LDNet.
there's been a lot of talk in the forums about PL losing much of its effectiveness. it seems that PL v PG is more 50-50 than anything, but PL & PG both have the advantage over FS imo.
You can't tell hidden stats, but it's things like chin, heart, aggression, following gameplan... they'll usually make themselves more clear after some fights. If you have a guy with monster stats but keeps losing he probably has terrible hidden stats, and what makes these more important is that you can't train them. So whatever hidden stats a fighter comes with is what he's stuck with his entire career.
the red highlight means it's the last fight on that guys contract. Congrats on the success, i've been in a bit of a rebuilding mode with the mafia after my mass exodus.
Curley "Crucifix" McConomy won the vacant Lord of the Cage Welterweight Title after defeating Troy Anderson of the renowned Team Gorilla camp. McConomy dominated most of the fight, and walked away with a Unanimous Decision, and his first title.
Devon "The Silencer" Stevenson captured the Sao Heroes Middleweight Title. It was a back and forth fight with each fighter winning one round apiece going into the third. Stevenson dropped former champion Shannon Turner with a strong right hand and followed up with another big punch putting him to sleep.
Sinister Submissions co-founder, Charlie "Chocolate Factory" Jones, officially retired after his submission victory over Zeke Collins in April 2009. Charlie Jones was the Jiu Jitsu and Judo instructor, as well as gym manager and captain. He was the first Sinister fighter to implement the Flying Submissions style, and also the first to enter both GLORY and EFC. At just 34 years old, his retirement is a bit sudden, and now Dean Thomas will take over as the Sinister Submissions camp leader.
Luis Reed wins Sinister Submissions first ever title, dominating Jake "The Snake" Albright en route to a 2nd round stoppage. The victory avenges Sinister Submission co-founder Slater Jackson's championship loss to Chuck Wilson many years back. The 25 year old Reed is at his prime, and looks to a bright future.
As of now, Tra "Ghost" Mitchell has retired. After competing in MMA for 9 years, he finally called it quits after his last fight (a loss) in January of 2008. A grizzled veteran with a record of 38-37, Mitchell had plenty of bad luck with avoiding the bad end of split decisions. He was a Ground 'N Pound and Slam It Out specialist, with respectable Jiu Jitsu skills. He competed once for the LDNET Welterweight Title, a bout he was winning until caught in a 4th rd submission. Tra was 34 years old
Hey bro, before you run your mouth. If Reed would've sent a challenge, Perry would've taken it.
Champs don't issue challenges. Win one... you'll know what I mean. Until then, good luck with your barely .500 camp.
for some reason i didn't get sent that box, which was pretty shitty. oh well, hopefully the new champ doesn't duck the top comp. good luck to you & your camp sinister
if the champ refuses to fight me like the past champ did i'll look into it. nothing worse than champs babysitting belts & not giving fighters their deserved shot.
tra & my guy Ray are the top 2 contenders to the belt since the old paper champ vacated it. at 7 they will send out a a challenge to like the top 5-6 in the div to fight for the vacated belt. I see American Bulldogs has sent you a past message, if he ever tries to fight you for a belt deny him because he will hold it for 10 fights beating up 0-0 & 0-1 guys from his feeder camps. he's been outed on the forums but there's nothing they can do about him at this time.
hahaha.. cool..
ei if your ever in Shaato.. i just won the LW belt
and LotC WW belts so imma look for you to bro! lols
WAR Sinister Submissionsssss!!! hahaha
Thuder Cat Killers/iCe MMA Academy/Crippler's Corner and Ultimate MMA are my other camps.. just messge me anytime you wanna fight im up for it
